This week the House is expected to vote on H.R. 2021 giving Trump's Pentagon nearly $1.5 trillion over the next 2 years. The DoD can't justify this budget because it can't pass an audit. Who will stand up to the military industrial complex & vote no to defeat this bill? 1/12
The Pentagon’s budget has already been increased by $165 billion over the past two years – more than the entire military budget of Russia. Meanwhile, Congress keeps appropriating money to buy warplanes and other weapons systems that our own generals tell us we do not need. 2/12
We spend more on the military than the next 10 countries combined, many of which are our close allies or strategic partners. In fact, we spend more on the Pentagon today than during the height of the Vietnam War, the Korean War or the Cold War after adjusting for inflation. 3/12

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.

Let’s clear this up, shall we?

1: Seeking Asylum is legal, yet many of the children have been taken from people who reported to border agents and petitioned for asylum. That’s right... they didn’t try to elude authorities...
2: They sought them out and reported to them and then had their families ripped apart!
Border agents are actively closing legal checkpoints to force asylum seekers to wait in the desert with no food or water for days on end until desperation wins out and they cross “illegally”...
3: Because how dare they try to fucking not die. Non Asylum seekers: most are coming to work like slaves for $4.00 an hour under the table because AMERICAN BUSINESSES ARE EAGER TO HIRE THEM. Why are there no penalties for them?
