Gotta say stowing away a 1974 Maverick 4 door like it was a Faberge Egg is impressive, as well as confusing
I mean, I'm just trying to imagine some 1974 guy in a leisure suit sealing a new 4 door Maverick in a glass climate controlled vault, convinced that it would someday be a priceless collector's item. I'm assuming drugs were involved
The opposite example is the 2005-06 Ford GT, where 95% of them were immediately stowed away and the only mileage they have is going across auction stages. I would freaking love to see one with 100k miles, that would be the REAL collector's item

Unfortunately whatever form of autism that drives me to ramble out such threads makes me utterly unemployable as an actual writer

me: I dunno I guess
pub: great, here's the topic
me: wait, you pick the topic? Sorry no can do
*please do not mistake this as fishing for writing gigs. True story, I do not want any, and you do not want me for one. It would only make both of us miserable.

Today #Millennials prefer to take an AC #OlaUber instead of-

- buying car

- paying EMIs

- legalities- insurances, papers, etc

- buying parking space (which in Mumbai is costlier than price of car)

- finding parking space in busy streets or paying steep parking charges
Many #Millennials aren’t in love with the idea of #buyingHouse either

Today, the concept of #LifelongJob has gone out of the window & people are on the #move in the #job market

Hence #renting & changing homes make more sense than investing in a house, a very #illiquid asset

Yeng Constantino calling out the doctor for negligence and lack of urgency WAS WRONG when she posted it on social media. BUT let me tell you what our first hand experience was in that hospital.
A loved one of mine met a vehicular accident in Siargao earlier this year. He had lacerations, cuts, soft tissue & head injuries. I learned about the accident when he called me despite being in a confused state. I was in Magpupungko that time while he was in Dapa.
Upon reaching the ER dept of this hospital, I immediately asked the nurses for the assessment & procedures done. I noticed there was a dressing on the lacerations & cuts BUT there wasn’t a cold compress for the injured areas. By then I knew - lack of resources.

2/ We think of chocolate as a solid food eaten by modern people. But for 9/10 of its history it was a beverage, and 4/5 of that history took place before the conquest of the New World that started in 1521
3/ Cacao is really difficult to grow. Will only bear fruit within 20 degrees of equator, also can’t be too high or get colder than 16 deg, demands year-round moisture, susceptible to numerous diseases & animals, takes 3-4 years after sprouting to bear fruit

1. Today is the 424th ArAdhana of Sri Vijayindra Tirtha, the bulwark of Dvaita Vedanta from post-Vyasatirtha period. This thread is a humble contribution about a great yati who foresaw the difficult times for Vijayanagara Empire & forewarned Ramaraya to take measures.
2. Vijayindra was born in c.1514 as 'Vitthala.' Got initiated into sanyAsa by Vyasatirtha as 'Vishnutirtha.' But subsequently passed on to Surendra Tirtha as his successor & got renamed as 'Vijayindra Tirtha.'
3. Aliya Ramaraya, the de-facto ruler of Vijayanagara, was upholding the Vijayanagara tradition of honouring the spiritual leaders of Vedic & non-Vedic sects. Likewise, he respected mAdhva yati-s of his times.
