An attack against our Jewish community – whether it be here in Jersey City, or anywhere in our state – is an attack against all nine million of us who are proud to call ourselves New Jerseyans.
We all awoke with hearts heavy for the victims and families impacted by what occurred yesterday in Jersey City – for the family of Detective Seals, and for the victims inside the market.

.@NewJerseyDOE is working directly with Jersey City Public Schools to ensure the appropriate crisis services are available and accessible to all students, educators, and staff. The Department is also working to assist with school safety in neighboring districts.
.@NJOHSP is working directly alongside our Jewish communities, and other communities of faith, across the state, to ensure that every New Jerseyan can feel safe and secure.
