Stanford is leading Academic Medicine Institution with Dr. Mackey a lead physician researcher. Where are studies of efficacious opiate treatments? Why do I have perception that CBT (B. Darnell, Ph.D.) is highly touted by Stanford? IMO patients have difficulty thinking pain away.
I am not aware if Dr. Mackey has joined the national conversation about bowdlerization of opiate analgesia. I might be uninformed. If he is not lending his expertise to the national conversation .... why? Is Stanford within the federal research $ stream re: “opiate epidemic”?
I believe that persons who offer themselves on twitter as leading experts about chronic pain need to share us their wisdom & knowledge about the “opiate epidemic”; with opinion about whether millions of chronic pain patients are or are not being inhumanely treated ...
Millions of patients want to know. They want national experts to weigh in on these issues; especially experts who might be supported, in any part, by federal funds.
