Going to say this and be done with it.

For all the Black men #onhere that find themselves badgering Black women like Oprah for allegedly not targeting white men enough for sexual abuse via #MeToo...have you ever asked yourselves why aren't you doing the same for your own group?
Like it is so damn easy to keep trying to tell Black women what to do when it comes to an issue that is impacting them by both Black and white men...but for some reason, there are men in our community who are trying so hard to act like sexual abuse is a racial dispute. It's not.
Rather than waste your energy on cherry-picking Black women who you feel should be only talking about white men who sexually abuse...why aren't you slapping yourself upside the head on how dumb you sound that you have chosen to make this issue a false sense of racial justice.
So are you trying to imply when criticizing Oprah that she should not hold Black men who sexually abuse Black women accountable because they are Black?

Or are you just mad that she is doing the work that you won't do because you rather obsess over a tit-for-tat with white men?
As a Black man, I am ashamed that some of us think that defending us looks like comparing us to white men.

I hate that we aren't able to see our flaws and not feel the need to compete with white men for who can get away with the most bullshit.

This is disgusting. Stop.
Any person who is committed to addressing the abuse and trauma in our own community should be applauded.

The years of being in silence are over.

Black people shouldn't have to hide in abuse and only await what white people do before we act.

Accountability starts at home.
One of these days, Black men will unpack how our obsessions with the White gaze has made us divorce our own accountability when it comes to the abuse we afflict upon our own communities.

One of these days, we will shut the fuck up and not expect Black women to do that work.
If you're a Black man and your only contribution to the #MeToo conversation is to compare Black abusers to white ones: You're useless and a part of the problem.

And if you're also only here to spew conspiracy theories that serve to deflect from the issue at hand, you're trash.
Million dollar question: If Black men aren't going to hold each other accountable for the abuse afflicted to Black women, how can we criticize them for doing so themselves?

Like how can we tell them to "go after the white man" and "keep that same energy" when we do neither.
Black women: #YouOKSis #MuteRKelly #SayHerName

Black men: *Silence*

Black women: #SurvivingRKelly, telling their own stories, producing more powerful docs...

Black men: Why aren't you going after the white men who do this???

Sigh.

SHUT THE FUCK UP. SIT THE FUCK DOWN.
In other words, keep Black men's name out your mouth when trying to defending sexual predators.
Oh and P.S.: And that Harvey Weinstein documentary that y'all keep acting like don't exist has been on Hulu streaming for months and even got a review in The New York Times back in September.

I thought y'all were staying woke, though.
