What is happening in India (a thread) 
Right now, people from different parts of India are protesting against an immoral and non-secular bill (CAB) passed by the parliament.
Now what is CAB?
The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is a bill that states that all the Muslims in India who don't have documents of their pre-existence here, will NOT be considered Indians and removed out or moved to DETENTION CAMPS.

This bill however , grants citizenship to the Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsi, Christians, and Jains from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh without any documents required to proove their pre-existence in India
They also announced that they will very soon bring National Register Of Citizenship (NRC) all over India. Which means that EVERY citizen of India will have to PROVE that they are actual citizens and NOT illegal immigrants using documentary evidence.
The religious communities ( except Muslims ) who don't have any documents would be excluded of citizenship acc to NRC BUT they will still be Citizens of India due to CAB
What are the protests for?
In Assam, Kerala,West Bengal, Delhi, Hyderabad, Banglore, Aligarh,Patna etc people are protesting as this Bill is against the Secular status of Indian constitution by EXCLUDING MUSLIMS of their rights as citizens and crowding immigrants of other nations

The Police however is being violent, torturing the silent protestors and the residents wherever they are taking this bill into action by open firing on people, throwing toxic gas cans, beating them with sticks and setting busses on fire. ALL THIS along with INTERNET SHUTDOWN.

Update : Shakir is not dead alhumdulillah. But over 125 students are severely injured, some are fractured and suffering from breathing problems due to tear gas
A small correction: in my 3rd tweet about CAB, i explained it with CAB and NRC implied together. CAB will provide citizenship to the above mentioned religions of above mentioned countries (except muslims)
