@MagdLibAndArch @magdalenoxford @BSAthens @AshmoleanMuseum the archive includes a large collection of DGH's dig diaries as a budding archaeologist, his diaries during WWI, drafts & notebooks used to compile his numerous works, and correspondence with the archaeologists/strategists of the time, including 19 letters from #GertrudeBell 2/3
@MagdLibAndArch @magdalenoxford @BSAthens @AshmoleanMuseum it also includes unseen correspondence from one of his most famous mentees, #TELawrence (below, a letter from Aleppo, 1913) and others like Clayton, Allenby, Kennington, &c.
