1. The declaration by #MoscowMitch @senatemajldr that he wont call witnesses or even consider impeachment charges is the foreseeable outcome of the @GOP contempt for the Constitution, which started with its refusal to give a hearing to Merrick Garland for SCOTUS....
@senatemajldr @GOP 2...the Constitution has become the equivalent of the tax code for the @GOP - always looking for loopholes because the Founding Fathers could not have predicted members of government would so thoroughly ignore their duties unless every possibility was written in.....
@senatemajldr @GOP 3...an effective Constitution to force the @GOP to take their jobs seriously would have to run 1000s of pages long, accounting for every dodge and rationalization they could think of to avoid following the intent of the Founders.

@senatemajldr @GOP 4...must now play the same game in order to undo the corruption of the GOP. There is no set requirement for the number of SCOTUS justices - so, when dems have power, pack the court to offset the loss of the Garland seat. Adopt a law requiring that ANY political appointee must....
@senatemajldr @GOP 5...be presented for confirmation within 90 days of being named as an "acting" official. Adopt a law that failure to present an appointee for confirmation constitutes a waiver of that authority by the president, and the Senate can pick their own. Yes, that will go to court....
@senatemajldr @GOP 6...so the dems will have to appeal and appeal and appeal, knowing they will lose, but - just like the GOP - getting what they want while the courts contemplate silly arguments. The list has to go on and on - complete with enforcement mechanisms - because the GOP can no longer...
@senatemajldr @GOP 7...be trusted to follow what has been two centuries of consistent interpretations of Congressional duties vis a vis the Executive. And of course, there have to be punishments involved, because the GOP will just say when facing a law - as they do so often now - "make me."
