Shivaji and Netaji Palkar - Story about Shivaji's common sense and what he REALLY thought of Brahmins.

Netaji and Shivaji were childhood friends. Grew up together. Fought together. Netaji was a top general in Shivaji's army.
When Shivaji was arrested by Aurangzeb in Agra, so was Netaji. Shivaji escaped (another great story), but Netaji couldn't. Aurangzeb made him an offer.

Said fight from my side, convert to Islam and I will make you a general.
Jaan pyaari thi, Netaji agreed and fought for Aurangzeb in Afganistan as Mohammed Kuli Khan. But he missed home a lot, so he deserted and came back to Shivaji.

Told him the truth, said I want to be Netaji Palkar again, I want to fight for Swaraj again.

I have seen WA messages fly around bitching about "slander of Brahmins". How no kings were ever Brahmins (Peshwas anyone?) and how Brahmins have always been poor. Basically a lot of horse-shit that on paper sounds logical and correct.
Allow me to tell you the truth about Brahmins. Brahmins were basically Modi before Modi.

When you have POWER, you don't need money. Others will give you whatever you want. You just have to ask.
A Brahmin just had to go to a king and ask for 10,000 cows and the king HAD to give them. It was his dharma (codified by who? none other than Brahmins). When you have the power of being able to control Gods, you don't need no fucking money. The entire world is your bitch.

There hasn't been a single (not one) place in the world, at any point of time in history, where people with this kind of diversity (religion, culture, ethnicity, food habits, languages) have lived together peacefully (for most part). (2/n)
And the crazier part is we are still 3rd world, regressive and religious in large parts. Still we made it work, for 70 years. People don't appreciate how fucking impressive that is. This is not normal, this is not at all normal human behavior. (3/n)

I know 'political experts' with brains the size of an ostrich's brain will find this difficult to comprehend:
BJP with its pre-poll ally Shiv Sena won #Maharashtra Assembly election.
Shiv Sena was a distant second to BJP.
NCP came in third.
Congress trailed the race as fourth.
Shiv Sena would not have won as many seats as it did without BJP votes being transferred to its candidates.
Just because Shiv Sena has walked out on its pre-poll ally and aligned with NCP and Congress does not make it any better.
Remember how the movie 'Arth' ends?
If you opposed Shiv Sena earlier because it wore saffron knickers and now support it because it has donned green knickers, your ideology is a lump of plasticine -- to be moulded any which way.
Elections are a game of thrones. BJP made a bid for power with Ajit Pawar and failed.
