Can’t stop won’t stop with this one. Speaking to conservative students in Florida today, Trump repeated his usual story about getting a Michigan award that does not exist.
Yes. Former GOP Michigan congressman Dave Trott has actually given me a convincing explanation here: he invited Trump to speak at a Lincoln Day event in Michigan in 2013; Trump, being Trump, has turned this into him getting a state Man of the Year award.
The short version is that Trump makes things up. The longer version: he says he got the award at a Michigan event where he gave a speech in which he talked Mexico, auto jobs. He did give such a speech at Oakland County Lincoln Day 2013. But there was no award there. Or anywhere.

Biden today repeated the falsest version of his claim about where he’d stood on the Iraq War (bloomberg.com/news/articles/…).

He did not oppose it “from the very moment” Bush went ahead. As @kfile and I have written, he supported the invasion before and for months after it happened.
You can read @KFILE’s debunking of Biden’s similar previous comments here (cnn.com/2019/09/04/pol…). This is now a repeat false claim from him. (And he recently did a less-false but still misleading version, which I wrote about here: cnn.com/2019/12/31/pol….)
Trump has made similar claims, also falsely saying he opposed the war from the beginning when he actually came to his opposition well after the invasion. Trump’s version, naturally, has extra flourishes — he claims his (nonexistent) pre-war public opposition got media coverage.

Biden denied yesterday that he’d advised Obama not to go ahead with the bin Laden raid.

He said in 2012 that he told Obama “don’t go” without more info. In 2015, he started saying he’d said “go.”

In Biden's 2012 account, he said he thought he owed Obama a firm opinion at a key group meeting, and had said "don't go" before doing more intel work.

In Biden's 2015 account, he'd said he'd never give Obama a firm opinion at a group meeting, so waited, and said "go" in private.
It's not possible to definitively fact check what Biden might have said in private to Obama, but Biden's 2012 and 2015 accounts are incompatible.

Trump says Charlie Kirk would be a "very good pastor." He then baselessly claims that all of the department stores were not saying Merry Christmas before he was president but are now saying Merry Christmas.
Trump positions himself among believers, against people supposedly opposed to faith and family: "Our traditions and our values are timeless and immortal. They don't know what they're missing. Right? They don't know what they're missing. Our faith is needed now more than ever."
