What I consider the Signs of Fascism; (14 signs are found half way down)
I know I say this a lot but if you want we can debate it.

The only one Boris doesn't tick is the Military one, but when Hitler came to power his Military was very weak.

But through enforced Austerity he managed to create wealth for Corporations, a cheap labour market, full employment that seen workers wages fall 25% to 1939 where by the only options where a reliable job in the Army or a low pay corporate sector jobs.

Hitler's personal ideology was One Nation Politics for Germans only. He was ultra conservative& ultra Nationalist, anti immigration, anti workers rights &human rights, despised Socialism & Communism while rewriting laws that only suited to Corporate society or low paid sector

Boris won his vote on an Ultra Nationalist, Ultra Conservative, anti immigration, anti socialist, deregulated workers rights, massive disdain for Unions all while rewriting work & tax laws that will only ever profit the corporate sector and the 1%. Similarities? Yes?

I know people will say Godwin's Law. But Godwin is a political Carpetbagger that works for a public broadcaster that is basically the Propaganda wing of the American Government and especially that of a Republican Party Government.

Bare this in mind when you look at their History. Republicans bought Hitler the Brown House in Germany. Prescott Bush the Grandfather of George W Bush actively funded Hitler and his rise, because he was a founding member of The American Nazi's.

Prescott Bush even funded a private militia Fascist Army to try and every throw FDR during WW2


So when you consider the history, the evidence and the facts. I would say Boris Johnson is taking us down a very deep hole of #Fascism.

He may not believe he is, in fact he would swear he isn't. But that doesn't mean his actions are not fascist because as you can see. They most definitely are!

History has shown us constantly around the world in its history and in it's current politics that the born to rule/establishment/capitalist class/1% or what ever you want to call them have and always will favour Fascism as an ideology.

Because it is an ideology that is designed for maximum wealth extraction. Remember Britain didn't really end slavery, they just paid people enough to survive on but not enough for an education or for the ability to leave their captures. The same can be said for the USA.

That is why they hated Socialism, it gave freedom of speech, affordable homes, better work conditions, the weekend, pay rises, holidays, maternity and paternity, education for you and your kids, hospitals, doctors and the NHS.

In fact everything you have today comes from a form of Socialism. I remember getting double pay for working a Saturday and Sunday. Do you still get that now? No you don't lol

Any way off topic, here is the extract from Political Scientist Dr.Lawrence Britt who recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20).

Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common

He calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy.

The 14 characteristics are:
Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture etc

Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

Rampant Sexism
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion.

Religion & Government are Intertwined
Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople& executives. Censorship, especially at war.

Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed .

Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Arts are often underfunded.

Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. Police powers enhanced!

Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. Friends seated into power!

Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries.

A government changes the voting boundaries to suit one ideology.

We know huge parts of our democracy are now owned by ex Tory Party Members!
