This is one of the dumbest things I have ever read on this site. Someone who believes this doesn't belong anywhere near Congress.
The share of the world population in extreme poverty has fallen from 50% in 1966 to less than 10% now.

There were ~10 billionaires in 1966. Now over 2K just in the U.S. Those people have created jobs and new markets that have nearly eliminated poverty, not other way around.
Ingratitude and ignorance are a dangerous combo. Most people for most of human history have lived in complete poverty. That changed relatively recently because of a system that lifts up everyone through innovation and growth. Billionaires are typically ppl who fueled that growth.
You don't solve world hunger by redistributing the pies that already exist. You do it by baking more pies. These people want to shut down the bakeries because they see the bakery owner has too many pies.

Equal poverty is ! > unequal wealth.
