The Israeli newspaper quotes documents and admits, the operations by Ambassador Ładoś were orchestrated by the Government of Poland and were not an individual action. Ładoś risked his life, but it was the @PolandMFA and @PremierRP who authorized him. 2/7

.@eldadbeck has analysed 100s of cables sent between @PLinSwitzerland @PolishEmbassyUS @PLinNewYork @PolandMFA @PLenArgentina between 1941-45. He writes PL supported bombing tracks to Auschwitz, exchange of imprisoned Jews, bribing the Nazis and many other attempts of rescue. 3/7

Beck argues, Ładoś passports, the object of a large study by @InstPileckiego and myself, were just a tiny part of the Ładoś group activities. Leading #Holocaust scholar Mordecai Paldiel quoted in the text agrees. Ładoś cables, they suggest, are much more important. 4/7

I'm astonished scholars did not the job one single Israeli journalist was able to do in a short time. I have access to 100s of Ładoś cables. I have decided to publish all of them in social media, soon. This is just a tiny random sample. 6/7

The impressive publication by @IsraelHayomEng based on documents & supported by leading historians, comes few days after comments by Putin. I don't know if it's co-incidence. I also treat it personally as recognition of efforts by many to tell this story to the world. Respect 7/7

@InstPileckiego @AuschwitzMuseum @JHIInstytut @ipngovpl_eng @swissinfo_en @imijnssen @mmagierowski @ynetnews @ynetalerts @Cenckiewicz While I can agree that rescuing Polish Jews by issuing fake Lat American passports was in general a gov't policy, I believe 30% of the passport owners who weren't Polish, were being rescued by Ładoś & his men out of purely humanitarian reasons. Many of them were German and Dutch.

The Ładoś list contains names of 3,262 people who were being rescued this way. Among 796 identified survivors, Dutch and German Jews prevail. We are still looking for 5,000 - 7,000 missing names. See the list.
