Just got to inlaws. Topics weve covered: Overpolicing as continuation of Jim Crow. Marijuana legalization. Non-carceral solutions to crime. Memorial for Peace & Justice mom in-law just visited (see souvenir shirt). All started w/ Native Son on the table. Dad inlaw’s reading. 🙌. 
I’ll claim credit for getting them more engaged in criminal injustice issues. But their deep curiosity & commitment to all social justice issues is lifelong. Lucky.
I also got some @eji_org & @MemPeaceJustice swag from my in-laws as well. I *need* to get down to Montgomery ASAP, visit my colleagues, & visit the Memorial. “Proudly serving the the war on injustice.”
