Most wrestling fans are familiar with Asuka's work, but a small percentage really know why WWE presented her as a superstar since day one.

Let me present to you:

"Kana/Asuka, greatest woman wrestler of the decade. The thread".
This starts the exact first day of decade.
Asuka lost the NEO tag titles last day and has been isolated for some time by most joshi veterans who are even trying to bury her career.

Poor fools.
2010 (1/2):

- Kana announces Kana Pro, her first event produced just by herself.
- Forms Triple Tails, a stable known even by non joshi fans.
- Joins Tajiri's new promotion "Smash" where she's the lead female.
- Launchs her own trademark "Kana office" and her own shop.
2010 (2/2):

Appears on the cover of the prestigious "Weekly Pro Wrestling Magazine".
In it, Kana writes a "Manifesto" were basically declares war to the whole joshi scene.

Gains such insane amount of heat even some promotions ban her. She's now joshi enemy number 1.
2011 (1/3):

- Keeps her war against joshi and pushes for intergender and shoot style wrestling.
- 1st ever Smash Diva Champion.
- Cover of the Weekly Pro Wrestling Magazine again.
- Becomes a key member of promotions like Triple Six, Daijo, FTO, Osaka Pro and WAVE.
2011 (2/3):

Fights in USA for the first time where she appears on Shimmer and Chikara including a classic against former roommate Sara del Rey.
She will continue working every Shimmer show for the next 3 years.
2011 (3/3):

- 1st ever WAVE Tag champion with longtime friend Ayumi Kurihara.
- Represents women wrestling in Battlarts last ever show.
- Produces 8 wrestling shows (including 2 Kana Pro).
2012 (1/2):

- Wins the Smash Diva Championship for the 2nd time.
- Has a run on DDT as Iron Man Heavymetal Champion.
- Keeps her "World famous Kana" expansion with matches on France and Mexico.
2012 (2/2):

- Books herself in a brutal shoot tyle match against Syuri and her sensei biggest rival Daisuke Ikeda.
- Has a "Barbed wire match".
- Shimmer's MOTY for her encounter against Ayako Hamada at Shimmer 50.
2013 (1/4):

- Friend Arisa Nakajima invites her to JWP to the despair of Command Bolshoi.
The oldest joshi promotion banned Kana after the "Manifesto".
- Wins the WAVE tag titles for the 2nd time with Mio Shirai.
2013 (2/4):

Wins the JWP title in their "Wrestlemania".

The oldest joshi title. Once hold by Dynamite Kansai, Devil Masami or Manami Toyota in a promotion that literally banned her for heresy.

Kana started a war against the whole joshi scene in 2010.
3 years later she won.
2013 (3/4):

- Creates 2 new gimmicks "Kana zombie" and "Kana clown". Both result in a huge success and are still remembered to this day.
- Participates in a joint show where she wrestles 11 matches in 3 different events on the same day.
2013 (4/4)

- Wins "Best villain" and "Best match" at the JWP yearend awards.
- Improves her ring work, in and out, with incredible performances during the whole year.
- 6 produced shows.
2014 (1/4):

- Kana Pro Mania finally arrives at the famous Korakuen Hall.
She adds new art concepts for her shows such as adding ambient to matches (purple lights with shamisen music), cool aesthetics, Rakugos (japanese storytelling during the interludes) and even rock concerts.
2014 (2/4):

- Booked for some events with men focused companies like NOAH, AJPW and Zero-1 who contacts her for a "1-match-only" show.
Match goes 40+ minutes.
- Becomes a wrestling trainer. Her first (and only) student is a 18 year old student called Konami.
- Starts working on Reina. This will be her main house for the next 12 months. Kana manage to win both singles & tag team titles simultaneously.
- After 3 years, finally fights for the Shimmer title.
2014 (4/4):

- Books and produces an 8 months long rivalry with legends Meiko Satomura & Minoru Suzuki.
Every match is a banger.
2015: (1/2):

This year she reduces the intensity of her performances in both Reina and Kana Pro.
People starts speculating with her retirement.
2015: (2/2):

- Annouces she will stop all her bookings after her September Kana Pro show. Even more retirement rumors.
- Spotted on a NXT Takeover show. What?
- Confirms her WWE signing.
By the time she leaves Japan Asuka:

- Wrestled almost every match imaginable:

- Intergender
- Fan service
- B-Rule
- Street fight
- Comedy
- Barbed wire
- Shoot style...
- Wrestled for 30+ different promotions.
- Produced 30+ wrestling events.
- Had her own wrestling office, shop and promotion.
- Had a ton of excellent and diverse matches.
- Lead the japanese women wrestling social media.
- Started a war against the whole joshi scene and won.
2016:

- Wins the NXT title.
- She'll defend it a total of 9 times without ever losing it.
- NXT female competitor of the year.
2017:

- Breaks Goldberg undefeated streak.
- Sole survivor at the Survivor Series PPV.
- Wins NXT female and overall competitor of the year.
2018 (1/2):

- Wins the 1st ever Womens Royal Rumble.
- Wins the 1st ever Mixed Match Challenge.
- Finally loses at Wrestlemania leaving an unprecedent record of 265-0 during 913 days.
2018 (2/2):

Wins the Smackdown Womens Title in the main event at the first ever womens TLC match.
2019:

- Wins the Womens Tag Team Titles with Kairi Sane.
- Defends the titles at the first ever womens tag team main event in WWE.
- WWE Womens Tag Team of the year.
Asuka was never meant to success.

Veterans hated her.
Her wrestling style is literally from another century.
Barely speaks english

...And still, she reached the top of both worlds.
