The #sydneyfireworks should go ahead as planned for a number of reasons.. 1. The money has already been spent, as someone that is living in an area affected by fire I simply want to celebrate the end of the year as usual. Let’s relax and keep it simple. ¼
Cancelling the fireworks isn’t going to help anyone, I am sure Sydney City council can’t get the money back now, I think we would be better served utilising a fundraiser through collection cans and a telethon for the RFS on NYE instead. 2/4
Cancelling a world renowned event just because something bad has happened is imo a bad idea, lets maintain normalcy and recover together. We cannot collapse in a heap everytime bad things happen. Sometimes we have to toughen up and push through. ¾
I am at the point now where I don’t think anyone in Australia is able to have a rational political conversation. Plus the whole news/media industry has reached a point where click bait is their business. Not reason, thought and discussion. 4/4
