But hey...India coheres as a nation. Pakistan does not!

India has seen growing minority populations. Pak / Bdesh's minorities shrink by the year

India seldom sees inter-caste warfare. Pakistan is habituated to tribal warfare
Why is there so much spotlight on caste, despite India shining through as an incredibly stable subcontinent?

I really would like to know that...
So much of western commentary on caste appears to be data-free and driven by prejudice

There can be N valid reasons to critique caste. But it's problematic when you start off with the assumption it is evil and force-fit things to that belief

The Acemoglu thesis is just that
