OK, starting a new #DavesCarIDService focused on family pics, with this layup: 1951 Ford convertible
Hmmm. Pretty sure 1928 or 29 Cadillac 7 passenger (those running board compartments are fairly unique to those Caddies) but grill seems a tad off
pic is a little fuzzy/incomplete, but features (cowl, running boards) are consistent with a 1927-ish Dodge 7 passenger sedan. Looks like its festooned for a wedding.
I believe around 400-500 or so legitimate manufacturers, and probably at least that many "car companies" that never produced an actual car, and/or were scams to bilk investors
I legitimately love this pic, 1917-23 Ford Model T touring. Illustrates how the low cost Model T was the most liberating technology of the 20th century, allowing mobility and people a means to escape the circumstances of their birth.
Seems like a good time to plug my pals at @weargrits in Houston, who celebrate and curate the automobile in black culture. Awesome clothes & accessories, along with reprints of the Green Book travel guide for black motorists.

@weargrits White/yellow car is 1955 Nash Rambler, followed by 56 Chevy, then 50 Plymouth
@weargrits body beads and wheels seem to match a circa 1925 Buick 2 door sedan, and that's one hell of a bowl haircut
@weargrits Man, y'all have been tossing high heat lately. This was harder than I expected, and after some intense digging, 1936 Oldsmobile 2 dr sedan. Don't know guitar, but I'll take a stab at a Harmony
@weargrits Car in the distance is a '38 Buick. I can't be too judgmental on the grease monkey ogling from the Sinclair station, because Grandma was whistle bait
@weargrits Gotta say I am totally stumped here. It's circa 1922-28 4 door sedan with non-suicide, 4-hinge rear doors, a highly unusual feature. Only one I know is 22-24 Jordan, but pretty sure this ain't one. Informed opinions are welcome
@weargrits That's it for today. I've resolved that in 2020 I'm going to take a shot at compiling a book of these tweets, along with related car & cultural history and car ID tips. Thanks all for making this my morning crossword puzzle.
