It's funny how only right-leaning people get accused of being 'grifters'.

If one wanted to GRIFT, wouldn't it make more sense to voice only PC, sanitised, 'approved' views? And virtue signal daily? And embrace every lefty cause du jour?

That sounds more like grifting to me...🤔
'Grifting' is putting your pronouns in your bio, throwing up rainbow flags and BLM hashtags, decrying capitalism, and talking about how bad Trump is (even if you don't believe in all this) in order to maximise revenue & career opportunities.

So who are the real grifters? 🤔
Everybody knows it's safer and more lucrative in most industries (especially arts, entertainment, tech, publishing & academia) to only voice liberal POVs on any sociopolitical issue. In fact it can be career suicide not to.

Lots of people are out there lying. Or staying silent.
Some food for thought...

90% of online usages of the word 'grifter' are incorrect anyway.

People like to throw words around without knowing the meaning of them. 😂

Being genuine and making money honestly can never be 'grifting'. Grifting requires deceit, by definition.
If you sell apples and tell people you are selling apples, that is not grifting.

If you sell tomatoes and tell people you are selling tomatoes, that is not grifting.

If you sell tomatoes but tell people you are selling apples, that IS grifting.

The word implies deception.

Atheists may not believe in God per se, but most are still susceptible to religious dogma.

It's just human nature.
People seek to understand:
- how and why we exist
- our purpose
- what is good (and who is good)
- what is bad (and who is bad)
- what rules to live by
- how to attain happiness/salvation

Traditional religions provide this for the majority. In their absence, most still seek it.
Some may truly be able to transcend all dogma and ideology - but what tends to happen is something else fills up that 'hole'.

It's not by accident that most climate alarmists, communists, radical feminists, SJWs, militant vegans, etc. are atheistic.

These are secular religions.

For everybody who truly believes the USA and UK are 'racist' countries, can you please tell me which nations you believe to be significantly better in this regard?

I am genuinely curious, as I feel like I inhabit an alternate reality...
I don't know what you're comparing to.
Few things I say attract more predictable and aggressive backlash than when I suggest that the UK and USA are NOT 'racist countries' in 2019.

This narrative does not represent the reality imo.

Individual racists exist and acts of prejudice occur, sure.

But GENERALLY? Nah...
In my estimation, a 'racist' country would have one or more of the following:
- Laws that discriminate based on race/ethnicity
- Widespread racism towards any group
- Widespread tolerance of racism towards any group
- Racially charged violence being common
- Racism in media

etc.

One's more stubborn.
In my extensive experience in talking with people in both sides of the aisle,if you will, I've found conservatives so much harder to move on any core moral position that's that it's ridiculous. That, plus harmony in the home, plus selection bias neatly explains the observation.
My experience has been that left-leaning people are more flexible on core issues and less on peculiar things, and right-leaning people are more tolerant around general issues but far, far less on core ones. The Social Justice left is reactionary (hard "right") in this way.

- buying car

- paying EMIs

- legalities- insurances, papers, etc

- buying parking space (which in Mumbai is costlier than price of car)

- finding parking space in busy streets or paying steep parking charges
Many #Millennials aren’t in love with the idea of #buyingHouse either

Today, the concept of #LifelongJob has gone out of the window & people are on the #move in the #job market

Hence #renting & changing homes make more sense than investing in a house, a very #illiquid asset

X says God is in heaven, not inside creation.
HD says Brahman became all this & is the basis of all.

Every way we define ourselves (Married, parent of a young child, homeowner) can, or will, change. It's hard gathering meaning from a moving target. You're staring down the back nine thinking, "Wasn't this supposed to make more sense?"

No.
Life is mostly just a bunch of unrelated events.
