We have forgotten how crammed dining facilities mean only 5 minute lunch breaks for Form 1 kids - surely, 5 minutes!! And without cutlery due to bullying.
And the School reportedly covered it up. Children being told to lie on graves!

This Nairobi School one was in 2019. That's just a few months ago.

So that's why. I have heard chilling accounts of parents being denied access to school, while their child lay dying in the school sanatorium being given Panadol and told they were a spoilt brat faking illness.

We all know about what happened in Moi Nairobi Girls School - dorms so cramped, so crowded, and emergency doors nailed shut, that when a fire broke out at night, girls couldn't escape and burnt to death in September 2017

At the time, there were *alleged reports* that this particular dorm was so cramped, with blocked drainage, that girls had to use gumboots to enter the toilets and bathrooms.

A year later in June 2018, a girl was raped in this same school!!!! Victims were instructed to take showers and were promised scholarships if they kept quiet.

Tell me, if these are the "good" schools we are fighting to take our children to, what is happening elsewhere outside the Nairobi limelight?

Rape. Torture. Sexual abuse. Coercion. Bullying. Violence. Broken bones. Broken spirits. Brain damage. Death.

And that's just 3 schools!

That's why schools are refusing parents from visiting.

To shield themselves from scrutiny because the conditions they have fostered in there are WORSE than prison. These are concentration camps. These are torture camps. And parents are paying for it in cash. Kids, in trauma.

Locking parents out of schools is not standard procedure. It is part of the Education system cover-up of poor conditions.
Schools need to have open-door policies governed by up-to-date psychology and practice. Children are not wards of the state devoid of rights like criminals.

And yes, these are children. When you consider Form 1s/2s are in their early Teen years, these are CHILDREN. They are not fodder for a sadomasochistic, psychopathic and sociopathic education system that allows for bullying, torture and sexual abuse.
