Cheering the reduction in US #cancer deaths but 2 concerns:
1. Here we are in the information age and the mortality data are from 2017? Other data are from 2015.
2. The overall reduction since 1975 is
200 ->150/100,000 (relative 25%). For 42 yrs of work?

@AmericanCancer Starting from 1975 is the best case scenario (exploits the "bump").
Data go back to 1958 and the absolute reduction is 190-> 150/ 100,000 people. That's a reduction in death of 4 per 10,000 in 59 years.
Very small cf progress in heart disease, which still has a long way to go.
