1) POC CRP to Guide Antibiotic Treatment for COPD trial:
- RCT of 636 patients with GOLD stage II COPD seen at 86 clinics for AECOPD
- 20.4% absolute difference in self-reported abx use with no difference in COPD-related health at 4 weeks
- Maybe a CRP a day keeps the abx away
POC CRP to Guide Antibiotic Treatment Limitations:
- May not be generalizable to patients with more advanced COPD
- Bias reporting by patients
- Not all places have POC CRP available

For those of you that follow me, my friends I consider family, I haven't been on today bc I had a bad fall.
It was in the bathroom & I hit the tub & toilet.
Mom was at the grocery bc we got our $72/mo SNAP.
I lied there for an hr bc I couldn't get up. (Like those comm.)
I'm ok...
As many of you know, I already have ruptured discs, congenital disorder which is where your spinal cords doesn't have enough space in your sheath, a syrinx, & multiple bulging discs, osteophytes, etc...
I just really whacked my back.

Minor #HealthCare observation, been thinking about this for a few days, wasn't going to bother with the write-up, but I've seen multiple messages from friends and colleagues the past few days that have moved me in this direction, so…
Because I am now An Old, I recently jacked up a shoulder and a hip, for which I was prescribed physical therapy at a GREAT PT center. Two separate incidents, but the treatment kind of overlapped.
As the hip got better fast and the shoulder got better slower, I got to a point where my hip "prescription" (chronologically, first) ran out, so we concentrated more on shoulder.

@dradambanks The entire valuation makes no economic sense. Racism is central to the sys of housing valuation (& racist allocation of communal resources.) *Plus, as a widget, it is used, deteriorating, its systems wear out, grow less efficient/obsolete over time. Why shd it increase in value?
@dradambanks Banks make more $ based on the loan amt. The reason GOp/Reagan privatized public housing was so the banks cd double dip on the financial products: a) interest on the construction loan, then b) tax write offs for capital supplied to build projects. This also adds cost btw..
@dradambanks This entire system built around housing construction, valuation, its financing is a racist based scam... and I’m saying tht as an architect in housing for 30 yrs. I see the financial proformas, the budgets. The banks and developers make out the best — not residents, tenants.

#Healthcare is a fundamental human right. In 2018, our legislature helped to ensure that right by expanding Medicaid. As of today, nearly 250K Virginians have enrolled in the program and now have access to quality healthcare.
This is what happens when we elect Democrats who are tenacious and unwilling to accept the status quo. But we still have work to do. We still have an opioid epidemic that is devastating communities and major improvements that need to be made to our mental health care system.
Last week, I was happy to visit one of our local facilities and have a great discussion with physicians and staff about these issues; we even tackled the benefits of community health.
