Looks like "social democrat" is now becoming a slur, on the commie-Left.
Which makes sense. Corbo's commie outriders have long defined their idea of socialism specifically in opposition to social democracy.
People on what little remains of a non-communist Left in the UK try hard to blind themselves to this fact. But it's nonetheless true.

That's why I get so irritated when someone claims that Corbo is "just a conventional social democrat. Like in Sweden".
I don't expect Lefties to understand my side of the argument. But I do expect them to understand THEIR OWN SIDE. And so many of them clearly don't.

The problem with commie marches is that there are too many trash groups trying to flog their papers, says trash group trying to flog its paper.
What's holding back the Revolution is that too many people are reading the Socialist People's Paper, when they should be reading the People's Socialist Paper instead.
The Socialist People's Paper claims that the Soviet Union ceased to be a True Worker's State in March 1927, which is revisionist nonsense aimed at delegitimising the just cause of the working class.
Obviously, the Soviet Union ceased to be a True Workers' State in November 1925.

The commies always do this when their projects fail.
They go all Trot, and declare that the project was somehow not "bottom-up" enough, that it wasn't enough of a "grassroots democracy", that it lacked "genuine mass participation", etc.
These are all just worthless soundbites.
Because, what does this mean in practice?
Obviously, an organisation with half a million members needs some degree of professionalisation, and, yes, that also means that there will be an internal bureaucracy, and not everyone will be directly involved in everything all the time.

I'm going to call it now.

The @GOP is going to roll on the President.

Pence/Graham will be the last minute 2020 ticket, and, if they win, the chance of any legislation making it will be 100% up to McConnell, assuming he gets reelected.
Now, you're going to ask me why this makes sense:

1. The GOP never wanted the President, they wanted Pence.

2. Setting both the Executive and Legislative branches firmly under Republican control means the GOP can focus on taking the Judicial branch during midterms
3. 2022 Mid Terms will be here before we know it and they will also try to focus on the state level.

4. Four years of Pence/Graham in a worst case scenario for the GOP sets them up nicely to get behind Ryan when he decided to run again in 2024 or 2028.

3/ "AYA" is one of the reasons firms continue paying millions to have their message spread on TV and online, *even after* they've reached near-100% market penetration for awareness of their product. It's a way to coach your users to become better advocates.

Social media platforms that initially attempted to be neutral, open, & freewheeling are now moving to a model of consciously manufacturing consent. This implicitly concedes something about the left’s inability to compete in a true marketplace & some failures of democracy.
It also conceded something, I think, about the challenges of pluralism and the impossibility of neutral public morality.

Public morality, which has been historically varied and localized, is now being defined - and imposed - globally in Mountain View.
It also marks a turn on free speech. There’s no longer a consensus that free speech is good. Free speech is now seen by the left as a manifestation of a particular public morality rather than as a neutral principle. From their perspective, free speech = bad outcomes.

It was surreal for Jimin to be accepted right after graduating. Granted, it was his own university that offered the job, but he’s happy nonetheless.

Still, with how young and fresh out of school he is, it was inevitable for people to be surprised that oh? you’re the teacher?
It’s mostly students that react that way, already expecting the professor Jimin has replaced for some of the classes. Kindly enough, they listen when he instructs them, and they don’t question his authority. Most of the misunderstandings usually stay as first time impressions.
