On Sunday, police smashed their way into the main library of #JamiaMilliaIslamia, firing tear gas shells as terrified students barricaded doors and hid inside bathrooms to protect themselves.

Video footage shot by a student inside the library and reviewed by Reuters shows dozens of young students - including several women - scrambling for cover, cowering beneath desks, and jumping over metal and broken glass dividers as they attempted to flee.
My colleagues @sankalp_sp @aftabahmed00 and @zebatweets also spoke to several students trapped inside the campus to piece together what happened.
“There were continuous sounds of tear gas,” one student told us. “They were just beating any students they saw so cruelly.”

What followed was the Denaturalization Law passed on July 14. As a result of this law, the Reich government could take away the citizenship of those who were deemed "undesirable", applying to anyone who had been given citizenship by the Weimar government.

Article 14 bars the Indian state from discriminating among people (citizens as well as non citizens) basis their sex, religion etc. But ARTICLE 14 DOES NOT PREVENT POSITIVE CLASSIFICATION and give such people extra privileges in order. #CitizenshipAmendmentBill2019 2/3
Reservations, special rights to minorities, etc exist even while Article 14 holds. Essentially,Right to Equality (Article 14 ) does NOT prevent underprivileged, or persecuted from being treated unequally to help their social, economic status etc.
