More US troops treated for TBI/concussions after Jan 8 Iran missile strike:
o 16 additional service members have been diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), 15 of which have returned to duty in Iraq.
o As of today, 50 U.S. service members have been diagnosed with TBI.
o Of these 50, 31 total service members were treated in Iraq and returned to duty, including 15 of the additional service members who have been diagnosed since the previous report.
According to statement released by Pentagon spokesman LTC Tom Campbell
o 18 service members were transported to Germany for further evaluation & treatment. This is an increase of one service member from the previous report, who had been transported to Germany for other health reasons and has since been diagnosed with a TBI, traumatic brain injury

The flying time from Iran to Irbil is between 3-5 minutes - 4 missiles failed - they did not reach their target, crashing short perhaps due to motor failure, according to this US military official. Some of these missiles are using decades old ballistic missile technology.
The Pentagon does not believe cruise missiles were used. These were NOT the most state of the art Iranian missiles, according to a senior US military source. The flying time from Iran to Asad air base in Anbar is about 15 mins, I am told.
The US has Patriot missile batteries guarding strategic assets in Baghdad and guarding bases in the region: Kuwait, Qatar etc. NOT guarding Al Asad or Erbil bases. Most of Iran’s ballistic missiles are pointed at American bases in the Gulf - Qatar, UAE, Kuwait.

Sultan Qaboos was longest-serving ruler in Arab world and one of the world’s longest-ruling autocrats. Imagine if someone that powerful and rich had come out? He did not use his power or wealth to decriminalize same-sex relations.

1/ The Yom Kippur War broke the “conception” (hakontseptzia) that Israel had of it being invincible to local challenges from its neighbours. Though Israel ultimately succeeded in its efforts during the YK War, the early Egyptian gains restored morale throughout the Arab world.
2/ Sadat was the Egyptian President of the Yom Kippur War, and became known as the “Hero of the Crossing” (of the Suez Canal). As a result of the outcome of the war, Israel recognized Egypt’s military strength and the US tried to bring Egyptians and Israelis to the peace table.

3/ The starting point was this thread from @nwoodfine . TL;DR: #Bitcoin is very important, attracts scammers and frauds, & a culture has evolved to defend against bad actors / attacks. He went on to say if you can't accept that culture then too bad.
