It would be useful/interesting if a major media outlet regularly published "4 years ago today" pieces during the 2020 election. For example, on 2/25/20 they'd remind the public about how Trump said he hoped to sue newspapers for critical articles.
On 10/7/2020 they would, of course, rerun the Access Hollywood tape that dropped 4 years earlier. washingtonpost.com/politics/trump…
On 2/28 they can remind readers about that time in February of 2016 when Trump gave an oddly fumbling answer about something that shouldn't really be difficult--condemning David Duke. nytimes.com/politics/first…
March 2nd they can run with Tom DeLay, former GOP house leader and hardly a liberal snowflake, saying Trump would be a disastrous choice for the GOP. politico.com/blogs/2016-gop…
On Jan 24, 2020 they can run with the "four years ago" story that Donald Trump promises to release his tax returns. politico.com/story/2016/01/…
On July 3, 2020 they can run with the "four years ago" story about how Trump's campaign circulated an anti-Hillary ad with a star of David and money on it, that was created by a white supremacist. mic.com/articles/14771…
On July 20 they could run the "four years ago" story about Trump supporters booing Ted Cruz at the RNC. It would of course have to be contextualized by a discussion of what maverick Ted has done since then.
July 27, 2020. "Four Years Ago Today," Donald Trump asked Russia to find Hillary's missing emails. nytimes.com/2016/07/28/us/…
August 9, 2020. "Four Years Ago Today," Donald Trump at one of his rallies suggested that "2nd Amendment people" might have a proper remedy should Hillary get elected. nytimes.com/2016/08/10/us/…
June 9, 2020. "Four Years Ago Today" was the infamous Trump Tower meeting where the President's son and several of his closest advisors took a meeting with a Russian lawyer who they thought had dirt on Hillary. nytimes.com/2018/08/05/us/…
October 17, 2020. "Four Years Ago Today" Donald Trump says he may or may not accept the election results if he loses. cnn.com/videos/politic…
I imagine one could find at least one of these newsworthy "Four Years Ago Today" moments per week that would remind the public about who Trump was in 2016, before he became President.
