Hi folks! I'm @AlyshondraM, and I'm excited to chat with you all this week!

A little about myself: I'm a space enthusiast and JPL #SolarSystemAmbassador. The kids at our local K12 call me the Space Lady, which is essentially a dream come true.
@AlyshondraM I'm also the assistant and first reader to author @MaryRobinette Kowal. Her novel THE CALCULATING STARS is a character-strong alternate Apollo-era history, where an asteroid hits DC in the first 5 min. It won the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus awards last year, and I got to be there!

Working with Mary Robinette has given me some *awesome* space opportunities, from chatting with folks at NASA during research to touring the Orion Capsule, the Neutral Buoyancy Lab and SpaceX.
You may have noticed a theme to my fashion sense - if it has space, I will probably wear it. Ms Frizzle is my icon in VERY many ways.
I also love to create. I design and stitch cross stitches, and most of them are space or book related.
I have 3 smols (8, 6, and 2), and they get to be my guinea pigs and space buddy enthusiasts. Since I work from home, you will see a lot of them this week!
My plan this week is to talk a little about all of these things! I'd like to share some of my #SolarSystemAmbassador presentations with you, talk about scifi and science, and show off and be inspired by space-related crafts. Let's GO!

First, some definitional stuff. I am not using Indigenous as a simple adjective here - the common meaning is 'originating or occurring naturally in a particular place".

Ok, going to jump into today's topics ....

In addition to the ancient Assyrian astronomy I wrote about yesterday, I also wanted to touch on Indigenous Australian astronomy. - which really interests me.

It also pre-dates Assyrian astronomy, which is fascinating!
Let me just pre-face this thread by saying that I am in no way an expert of this topic. In fact, I am only just learning about it myself as I have a deep interest in this field.

I'm drawn to how different cultures in different times in history have seen and used the sky.
But if you're looking to delve a little further, i'd recommend following these subject matter experts themselves:

Hi everyone! :) I'm Ute (pronounced like “Oohter” with the emphasis on the first syllable. Equivalents are Audrey in English, Aude/Odette in French), and first of all I would like to thank @Taraustralis for the privilege of letting me host “People of Space” this week!

@Taraustralis @MarmaTheGhost @martinesrymd Tara created @people_of_space so people from all walks of life could talk about their passion to a larger audience. Her intention will in fact also be this week’s motto: “Space is for Everyone”.

Hi folks. I was suspended for the last 12 days because I had this photo of my butt in my header, which violates the Twitter rules against non-artistic adult content. I stayed suspended so long because Twitter's email verification system was broken and refused to send email.
Normal @TwitterSupport channels being what they are, it took extended public complaint and 4+ Twitter employees working on my behalf to fix this. This is consistent with my other suspensions over the years, and folks like @jennschiffer have experienced it too.
Goes without saying that "being a distributed systems engineer with outsized influence on Twitter's engineering team" is not a privilege accessible to many folks out there, but I've got deeper concerns I want to address. Suspensions for content like this are increasingly common.

Schwere Herzkrankheit des Verstorbenen seit Geburt, mehrere Herzoperationen danach, versagensbereites Herz durch das es jederzeit zu einem Herzinfarkt kommen konnte.

Ob jemand strafrechtlich verantwortlich ist für den Herzinfarkt, ist im Ermittlungsverfahren.
