Hi folks! I'm @AlyshondraM, and I'm excited to chat with you all this week!

A little about myself: I'm a space enthusiast and JPL #SolarSystemAmbassador. The kids at our local K12 call me the Space Lady, which is essentially a dream come true.

@AlyshondraM I'm also the assistant and first reader to author @MaryRobinette Kowal. Her novel THE CALCULATING STARS is a character-strong alternate Apollo-era history, where an asteroid hits DC in the first 5 min. It won the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus awards last year, and I got to be there!

Working with Mary Robinette has given me some *awesome* space opportunities, from chatting with folks at NASA during research to touring the Orion Capsule, the Neutral Buoyancy Lab and SpaceX.

You may have noticed a theme to my fashion sense - if it has space, I will probably wear it. Ms Frizzle is my icon in VERY many ways.

I also love to create. I design and stitch cross stitches, and most of them are space or book related.

I have 3 smols (8, 6, and 2), and they get to be my guinea pigs and space buddy enthusiasts. Since I work from home, you will see a lot of them this week!

My plan this week is to talk a little about all of these things! I'd like to share some of my #SolarSystemAmbassador presentations with you, talk about scifi and science, and show off and be inspired by space-related crafts. Let's GO!
