Technical knowledge acquisition technique:

How do I know I’ve learned something? My brain yells at me.

How do I get there?
I skim through a book or a course.

If I like it, I watch it properly with full attention.

I go off and work and rewatch/reread a lot bit at a time.
Beginners assume you must learn it all at once or you’re stupid. Not true. Learning comes from familiarity and familiarity can only come after repetition. Don’t set yourself up for failure. Assume your career will be long and full of learning. Figure out how to achieve that part.
Some things can only be learned with time as the most important part of the equation. Time let’s information settle in my mind. Time also creates room for real world interactions to highlight deficits in knowledge that can be filled with those book/courses. No rush in mastery. 🤘
