Last month, I made a decision on a proposal that was brought before me. It was enticing and looked like it would work. Even the numbers, market survey, research, they all made sense.

Still, I declined to get involved because it just didn't "FEEL" right.

Other smart investors I knew personally were involved, so this should have given me some consolation but it didn’t. My instinct was aggressively against investing so I declined and left the meeting.

I was worried if I stayed longer, the numbers would entice me.
I am a deeply emotional being. I feed off people’s energy and my intuition. This makes me ask first, "how do you feel about this?" Instead of "what do you think about this?"

I see the sadness in people's eyes when others see a bubbly persona. I hear emotions, not words.
In the past, situations have forced me to THINK FIRST AND FEEL LATER. Because I was said to have been TOO EMOTIONAL, I began to tilt towards logic more than feeling the energy, so I lost myself a little.

Anytime this happened, more often than not, I ended up saying to myself,
"I should have listened to my intuition."

So I stopped looking at probabilities alone and I went back to looking inwards. First logic, then I look inwards and ask, “how do you really feel about this?”

Today, I received an email from one of the investors of the project,
it read, “Ife, the government has indefinitely withdrawn the permit for the job. A whole lot of initial capital had already being injected into the business. I can’t even tell you this is what happened exactly, this makes no sense. Did someone tell you anything? Call me.”
I felt bad that the business didn’t work out but this reinforced my stand on not taking myself for granted.

I have stopped apologizing for seeing past the physical, feeling things too deeply and mostly going with my gut after facts have been presented before me.
Data and logic are of great importance, I wouldn’t delve into anything without them. But we have such great inner wisdom inside each one of us. There to guide us when it matters but for some reason, many people dismiss it.

Learn to quiet the mind and tap into that inner voice.
When you become a little more in tune with the energy around, you can shield yourself from many negative experiences.

Not everything has to 'make sense' to be right.
