I paused the Reddit ads. Still profitable over the entire campaign ($951 spent, $1148 sold), but I need 3.5 sales per day just to breakeven, and didn't get that over the last 3 days.

Woke up this morning to my 5 yo son asking us about the air. Yesterday his soccer was cancelled and we didn’t let him go to the park due to poor air quality (AQ). If you have small kids you can imagine the energy that's pent up even from 1 day of being stuck inside.
Like I said my son is five and literally every year of his life that he remembers, there have been days or weeks where we’ve had to reorganize our lives to deal with wildfire smoke. He has a whole vocabulary & understanding about fires and AQ I definitely didn't have at that age.

I know you have heard of password #Salts which are similar to Nonces and used to add uniqueness to passwords and protect against pre-computed hashes (rainbow tables).

Did you also know about password #Peppers ? They are equally important too.
In modern web applications of today, you should #Pepper your passwords as well as #Salt them too before hashing them. Here is the order:

Original Password ---> Salt ---> Pepper ---> Hash ---> Store-In-DB.

However, if you #Pepper passwords wrongly. It could be very disastrous!
What do i mean by this ?

Well, the simplest (and safest - very important) way to #Pepper a password is to HMAC(Original_Password, key) it.

HMACs are resistant to length-extension attacks & brutes-force attacks.

There must be a #Pepper key used for the HMAC too

Everyday I see people post things here for sale - beauty products, perfumes, watches, services, etc.

And 99.9% of the posts all look the same - boring, bland, uninspiring (1)
Here's what many people who sell on social media don't know:

1. The attention span here is very very short. Once something looks like more of the same, it's easy to ignore it, or not even notice it at all.

When your posts to sell your product/service looks and reads like... (2)
more of the same, it sails away unnoticed like a ship in the night,buried by the hundreds of new tweets and posts that show up on the timelines each time people hit refresh.

So what do you do to get noticed?
