#30DaysofThreads Why Your LinkedIn Profile Isn’t Doing Anything For You (with gifs!)
1. Your profile photo is trash. It’s unprofessionally cropped, blurry, or not at the right distance (too close - I don’t want to see your nostrils, too far - I’m not even sure if that’s a human in the photo)
Your headline is boring. That’s one of the first things that someone sees when they find your profile, and “Associate at XYZ company” isn’t intriguing.
3. Your summary is generic or worse, you don’t have a summary at all! This is prime real estate to sell yourself and win over the reader, and you just...don’t.
4. You copied and pasted your resume. No updates, no additional depth or detail. Just ctrl+c and ctrl+v
5. Your profile is naked. All you have in your profile is work experience and education. No skills, achievements, endorsements, recommendations, media links, documents, NOTHING.
6. You do nothing or less with your profile. You barely log into LinkedIn. You have 3 connections. You never post or comment on the posts of others. You aren’t involved in any conversations or groups.
