It's fun to poke away at conventions and rules. We're artists, and we should!

But there's a seriousness to this. The same tips and phrases also taught sexist ideas like square=man, circle=woman ... men have big squared off hands, women have thin small delicate hands.

It's BS.
It's informative to remember who came up with a lot of these conventions in the first place.

(Men. White men.)

Remember that art and design was historically taught and conceived of by white men. Teaching to other white men.
