1/ 2023: WHY I FEAR FOR NIGERIA'S FUTURE AFTER @MBuhari

2/ By May 29, 2023, @MBuhari will be exiting Nigeria's political firmament as the last breed of the 1960's boys- the SILENT GENERATION (73-93years old), who have positively or negatively shaped Nigeria's socio-political landscape from 1966 till date.

3/ Since the outcome of the 2019 Presidential elections, a veteran of the 1960s boys, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has stopped talking about Nigeria. You know why? @MBuhari has matched his records as the longest serving Nigerian ruler.

4/ Moreso, Obasanjo as a veteran politician, knows @MBuhari into to, as the later was his subordinate back in their military days. OBJ knows that no matter how he cries to the mountain tops over his boy's misgovernance, 'Buhari, NO SEND.' Not even after getting a 2nd term.

5/ So, rather than giving himself headaches, OBJ, since the outcome of that 2019 election, has retreated into his burrows, leaving Nigerians to stew in their own juice. For all intent & purpose, OBJ tried to stop @MBuhari. But it was too late, as the man already had ENO-POWERS.

6/ Again, as a man who knows how to use & misuse power, OBJ even in 2015, knew that his boy had nothing to offer a New Nigeria. He knew his boy only wanted to enjoy his old age via the perks of Presidency. But to show @GEJonathan he was the EBORA OWU, OBJ, rallied behind @MBuhari

7/ So, now that things have fallen apart, and the centre no longer holds; now that Nigeria is slided towards a bottomless pit, OBJ has retreated into his burrows. No one is sure if he still feels concern for Nigeria, like he always claims to.

8/ Like OBJ, and so many other elderstatesmen like him, who sold @MBuhari as the messiah Nigeria needs in 2015, I've also retreated into my burrows, criticising his unending misgovernance. Reason: Cry from morning till night, 'BUHARI NO SEND.' He's here to enjoy life till 2023.

9/ But there remains a germane problem. Whether power returns to the South or remains in the North come 2023, Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder. Why? If power remains in the North, the South will never again remain subservient to the new Northern President.

10/ Yes, Southern Politicians and Elites will never again remain subservient to a new Northern President, because of the highfalutin nepotism introduced by @MBuhari in his numerous military, political & civil service appointments. The South has had enough.

11/ Boko Haram has been technically defeated by the @MBuhari admin, right? Let power return to the South (SE or SW) by 2023, then you will know how intolerant the North has been, whenever there is a power shift. Then will you know that BH is a Northern Creation. ABJ will feel it.

12/ Let power return to South, of course, the Southern President will go on with @MBuhari bad precedent. Highfalutin Nepotism will rock Nigeria's political, military and civil service. Will the North keep calm like the South had since 2015? Hell No! That option may be the END.

13/ THE WAY OUT? is for @MBuhari to stop junketing the world from now till 2023. He should get serious and lay a foundation for Nigeria to be RESTRUCTURED. I suggest Nigeria lifts wholesale and domesticate @WhiteHouse democratic system. Let FG let go its enormous power.

14/ For @MBuhari to achieve this, he should work with @nassnigeria, governors, state assemblies, CLOs, religious, traditional groups, leaders, elites, think tanks, et al, to give Nigeria a BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION, agreed upon by the Nigerian people. This is NO ROCKET SCIENCE. END
