*Thread* 1/10 The far-left Labour Representation Committee (LRC) reeks of antisemitism. Last month, the stench became so bad that it admitted it had gone too far on Facebook. Then it posted a warning that new admins would delete comments and block people for “any form of racism”.
2/10 So, how is the LRC doing? What *is* acceptable? Er, not very well and just about anything goes, it seems. Look at this post alone, dismissing deep anger in the Jewish community about Orla Guerin’s BBC report on Holocaust commemoration. “BBC gets spine”, says the LRC.
3/10 The post flags a report from "Jewish Voice for Labour", a discredited group whose entire mission is whitewashing of antisemitsm in Labour. Even Momentum's John Lansman has said it is "part of the problem and not part of the solution to antisemitism".

4/10 Sure enough, ugly Holocaust comments follow. One man is "sick of it being used as a stick to beat anyone who criticises the Grotesque behaviour of Israel", a trusty canard of fanatical haters. Another commenter chimes in - "genocidal" Israelis didn't learn their lesson.
5/10 Did you know that the BBC has "sold the British people to zionists"?
6/10 As for the Board of Deputies of British Jews, it is a "cynical bunch of witch finders" that deserves "rebuffing". And watch out, they may be manipulating you.
7/10 Oh well, this commenter finds a ray of light. At least the BBC "actually allowed the similarity between Nazi occupation & Israel / Palestine to go out". Though "heads will roll" as a result.
8/10 This commenter didn't like a memorial event one bit. It was "misused as part of a propaganda machine". Oh, and the Board of Deputies should be "put in their place".
9/10 These comments have a natural home. The LRC has repeatedly championed some of Labour's worst figures in the antisemitism crisis, even after the party took action against them. They include Ken Livingstone, Jackie Walker, Chris Williamson, and Pete Willsman.
10/10 This foul record has prompted Jewish leaders to call on the LRC's President to resign. He is none other than John McDonnell.

McDonnell refuses to step down. Nor will Labour take action against the LRC.

That's where Labour is in 2020 - promises of change are meaningless.
