1. THRESHING FLOOR
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I an your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes I will help you; yes I will hold you up and retain you with My victorious right hand of
2.righteousness and justice. Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. [Amp]
"Fear not" does not mean there is no true danger. The danger IS real but, we
3.are not to fear it bc God is with us. My fear is calmed/quenched in the knowing and trusting in the goodness and faithfulness of God. Only when my head knowledge (my hearing who God is) moves to my heart is the fear quenched.
Only a heart that has been thru authentic
4.danger and experienced God coming thru with His faithfulness and goodness can truly trust and rest in Him. Thats why a relational history w God is so critical!
This example is the epitome of how Gods threshing floor serves to separate the chaff from our lives. We are the
5.wheat. But we have chaff in our lives still. The chaff is separated from wheat by beating it and trampling upon it. Dangerous and trying circumstances equate to the beating and trampling of the wheat.
The scriptures about Christ and His nature---faithfulness, goodness etc.
6.remain head knowledge until a threatening circumstance arises where I test the word Ive believed and see if I come to experience this claim of Who God says He is to me. God coming thru for me proves He is Who He said He is. I have then experienced Gods goodness and faithfulness
7.. My head knowledge now moves from my head to my heart. That experience changes me. I learn to trust God in dangerous threats by going thru the dangerous threats. Peace for present battles come from previous battles where I experienced Gods goodness and faithfulness.
8. Hebrews 4:10 says we labor to enter Gods rest. That laboring is the battle I engage in with my flesh(chaff) to believe God when the circumstances around me dont match up to what my natural eyes see. I use the Word--what God says is true--to battle the fear that rises in me
9.during lifes crises until Gods goodness and faithfulness is demonstrated and produces within me an experience that God is Who He says He is. This is the the threshing floor process that brings growth maturity and change to the life of the believer.
10.God may we be given eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to understand what You are doing in this hour and may we join You in it willfully surrendering to Your ways
