a few thoughts about RCP 8.5 discussions:
1) it's GREAT NEWS that RCP8.5 is unlikely! and that we're on track for 3°C of warming!
2) given how bad impacts are at 1°C, it's clear that 3°C is going to be really really bad

3) this revision to the scenarios also tells us that getting to 2°C is a lot more reasonable than before and we should re-double efforts to get there
4) it also tells us that there's no reason to think that even faster reduction of emissions will bankrupt the world's economy
