1/ Why is talking about money a taboo?

I don’t mind sharing personal pieces here & there. I hope it brings wisdom to others.

Let’s of people, including me, talk about compound interest.

However, there is a more powerful force out there and it’s called deal making!

2/ Reviewing my net worth data from some years back, I noticed it took me almost forever to make my first million.

I’m sure many of you on the similar journey are feeling the same way.

The interesting part is it took me 9 months to make the second million.
3/ Two things were really happening below the surface. First, and most obvious, is the length of time it takes to slowly save...

invest...

keeping building the stack... saving and investing some more.

It feels so slow at the start. Honestly.
4/ The second thing happening was me learning & perfecting my basic craft of finding, executing and exiting real estate deals.

I noticed that the key to the art of deal making was having the right team and being able to take good opportunities and NEGOTIATE them into great ones!
5/ So by the time I reached that first million, I now had enough capital to act on a meaningful deal all by myself.

It was a matter of executing the same way I did before on a bigger scale (my favourite type is single family luxury vale add).

I doubled my net worth in 9 months!
6/ The point of the story isn’t to show off or brag. No is it to try to sell you something — there are no courses or newsletters here.

Some of you might be on a similar journey and it feels like it’s taking forever.

The compounding process is slow at the start. And let’s...
7/ ...face it — no one wants the money at 65!

But the fact that my account is not anonymous and it shows a regular person doing simple, proven methods means you can also do it too.

That’s the whole purpose of why I write these tweets. If it gives enough courage to just one...
8/ ...it’s been worth it.

Finally, here are the list skills I think are needed to multiple a million into two:

• accounting & projections
• tax planning & optimisation
• negotiations
• people management
• organisation & planning
9/ Regardless of how long it takes, keep on going & don’t give up.

Accumulation of wealth is a mental task, like any other habit — getting fit, eating healthy, drinking a lot of water, etc.

It’s not all about waiting to compound in later years. Learn to make great deals today!
