You may point them to this thread.
You are welcome.
The skins randomize, so it is impossible to spot the Ideas Man until you interact with them.
The Ideas Man locks you in to a fairly consistent dialogue tree, but the result is still a grind and a drain on your life bar.
Regardless of the selections you make, Ideas Man will reveal that they do not wish to learn how to code, script or build levels. No, no.
Be warned. This loop has no actual gameplay advantage- (just like any Outer Worlds feature.)
You take fifty soul stone damage at this point regardless of saving throw.
Looking at the code, it reveals a bug that results in the damage.
Let me repeat that.
Game developers themselves obviously do not have ideas.
Ideas make great games.
Bad games exist because of bad ideas.
They have good ideas.
Ergo games need them.
Infact you will find great ideas in every single developer class except, perhaps, venture capitalists.
They happen for many, many reasons. Ego, politics, budget, over scope, delusions of grandeur, lack of experience, departmental in fighting, misinformation, mismatching teams to tasks, death, disease and morale.
SKILL in design, planning, coding, management, scheduling, communication, marketing, tools development and so on and so forth.
SKILLS not IDEAS
Ideas man refuses to recognise other peoples value.
Ideas man does not think their ideas have value.
Ideas Man is a narcissist.
Infact we have far too many. If you need some for your industry we are happy to trade them for Pokemon cards, coffee vouchers or, yunno, happy working conditions and self respect.
They give us no loot, no power ups and no side quests.
But you CAN hack them out of the social side quests!
Just patch your game by linking them to THIS tweet thread and leave them to it whilst you go try to replenish the soul damage they just caused.
Got it?
Good.
