I don’t always agree with Margaret Hodge and certainly don’t agree that having a two party system (or FPTP) is a benefit but she talks a lot of sense here.

Not just about the leadership issues but about the culture within the Party, a reactionary manifesto and more.
I didn’t realise that TU membership had fallen to 1 in 4 workers.

But I do know people who say they won’t join because the leadership of the Union does not represent them.
I think she is right to say that people feared that the anti western vibe from the leadership made too many fear it would not protect British interests and security. And that the manifesto induced fear (or contempt for its lack of realism).
