There isn't a right person to say this to, but I like to think I'm an ESPECIALLY wrong person to tell that their child is autistic because of vaccines. Which happened during today's shift.

At one point in the conversation they were talking about how vaccines are just stuffed with heavy metals. "You can pick them up with a magnet! I don't want that in my body!"

I mean, I didn't have an MMR on hand, but they seemed pretty disappointed by how my magnet failed to pick up the influenza vaccine, pneumonia, hep a/b, or tetanus/diphtheria.
Presumably the magnet was immunized, because skipping vaccines is exactly how you pick that stuff up.

Because here's the thing. Even if vaccines did cause autism, which they do not, as shown in LITERALLY EVERY STUDY THAT HAS EVER LOOKED AT IT NON-FRAUDULENTLY. If they did?

And I am SO FUCKING GRATEFUL to vaccines for creating a world where my amazing child will grow up in to an autistic adult because he won't die of measles, or polio, or smallpox, or chicken pox, or pertussis.
