1) Many people don't appreciate how the DNC and RNC are private clubs; and how that reality plays out in a political system.

The Club decides their candidates. The voters vote, but ultimately it's the club deciding.
2) In state elections the state (govt) may play a role in providing vote infrastructure to the Club(s), but not in every state and certainly not in caucus states.

In caucus states the government (sec. of state) plays no role in the Club's process for candidates.
3) In caucus states the Clubs control everything. And state government just watches.

The Clubs run the entire operation.... gather the results and announce the winners/losers with NO oversight. The Club rules the entire process.
4) Iowa is an example of how the Club controls everything.

This tweet from ABC journalist is important to see what happened.

5) The national Club (DNC) comes in and takes over the tabulation of activity. Specifically the national Club is deciding what results are released by the franchise Club, the Democrat Party of Iowa.
6) In this example the National Club (The DNC) has an agenda of specific interests. Donor-Driven Priorities:

A - They don't like/want Bernie
B - They need to cover for Biden
C - They construct a "Never Bernie" narrative.
7) So the National Club wants to cement a narrative useful for their purposes. With that in mind they release a very specific sub-set of data to create that narrative.

Thus, this is what they release:
8) The Club has decided what specific outcomes will be reported to the media, to set their narrative, based on their priorities.

These are private decisions internal to the private Club and those who control it. There is no oversight.
9) For this specific moment, these results highlight the motives and intents of those who control the Club.

Pete Buttigieg is proclaimed the winner (so far). This is narrative engineering that allows the promotion of Buttigieg and the diminishment of Bernie.
10) Undermining Bernie is the paramount Club goal here. Buttigieg did not win the popular vote, and he will not likely be the final winner, but selecting this specific sub-set of votes (in this moment) allows a narrative to cement.
11) Notice, in the carefully selected release, how Joe Biden is propped up above the 15 percent threshold. This makes it appear that Biden will receive delegates. He may or may not; but for the narrative, propping up Biden is again a necessary club objective.
12) The media will discuss Buttigieg and will overlook the fact they predicted/promoted a false story about Biden's polling for the past six months.

No-one will ask what happened? The Club doesn't want people to ask what happened.
13) Few will realize all this visible material, and media discussion therein, is constructed. It's an illusion.

However, once you see the strings on the marionettes, you can never go back to a time when you didn't see them.
14) MSNBC’s John Heilemann pointed out the priorities of the DNC Club and where the Club engineered events are likely to end up.

15) The key takeaway is to realize the RNC and DNC are private Clubs. The Club can set the rules, processes, procedures and influence reporting however they want.... and they do. Tom Perez is the DNC Chairman.
16) Bernie Sanders is fighting the Club and their "Never Bernie" mindset. Based on the strength of the grassroots support Bernie carries, he could very likely win the battle.

However, the Club has a contingency plan, Michael Bloomberg.
17) And so we watch how it all unfolds. This is an epic battle within the Club, and the DNC will do anything to retain power, control and position.
