Something in my house is beeping every 15 minutes. I have no idea where or what it is.

It is driving me to madness.
Note: it is not a smoke detector.

It sounds like a watch or other small device. It chirps just loud enough to be heard but not found.

I may have to burn my house down.
Update: It was the battery backup for my phone service.

I can now discontinue soaking rags in kerosene in preparation for reducing my home to cinders.

My theory of the race from the beginning was that Dem voters were looking for a shiny object. An ascendant new face who can beat Trump.

Polling has consistently been ominous for Biden and Sanders. Neither has the numbers a typical lead horse has when entering with name rec.

That’s why we have seen repeated boom-bust cycles.

A candidate emerges, rises, and is swallowed up by the pack.

Bloomberg isn’t anymore my preferred candidate than Biden or Bernie but the dynamics of the race are starting to favor him somewhat.

Don’t be surprised if we get to Super Tuesday with Bloomberg poised to compete strongly.

If Biden underperforms in NH, a rapid rise could be even more dramatic.

People are looking for candidate-as-savior-from-Trump. ANY candidate-as-savior.

So, in a slight nod to the fact that caucuses inherently suppress turnout and are inaccessible, Iowa added “satellite caucuses” for people who couldn’t make the designated evening time.

Now, bear in mind, Iowa covers 56,000 square miles.

The satellites favored the denser parts.
The one outstanding satellite will count for either 5 or 11 “state delegate equivalents”.

The deciding factor?

Whether the attendance was 600 or 601 people.

If it was 600 or less, it counts for five. It was 601 or more, it counts for eleven.

Iowa maintains a caucus for one reason:

It allows them to remain the first contest in the nation.

New Hampshire is the first primary. Iowa is the first caucus.

Without a caucus, Iowa wouldn’t be allowed to go first.

I like data and am a bit of an analytic dork by nature, so I’ve been watching the deeper metrics of candidate second choices for a while now.

The conventional wisdom is that Warren and Sanders split a pool of voters who would largely migrate to Sanders if Warren dropped out.

I have seen no data which supports that theory.

Warren’s supporters are largely team players. A recent poll showed *100%* of them would back the nominee whomever it was.

Only just over 50% of Sanders supporters said the same.

When Warren supporters are asked - or were forced in Iowa - to pick a second choice, Sanders gains little or nothing on other candidates.

As has been a widely held view for a very long time, Sanders is polarizing with a low ceiling.

A pop. in the 25% range strongly prefer him.

The Kirishima's Sweet Riot Donut Shop was always the busiest shop year round. Somehow, the Kirishima's always knew how to keep it up and running, bustling with regulars and sometimes new customers whom heard about the shop through someone +
else.

Bakugo, however, was roped into it by his parents who insisted on getting him the best jelly filled donuts they could find.
He was turning a measly ten years old that day. Bakugo doesnt understand why they just didnt get him a cake, why did it have to be donuts of all things? Fuming, he followed his parents whilst thinking of the chocolate cake he could be getting as an alternative.
