Ahmad stays in Malaysia, while Timothy stays in the US.

Both work for the same company, have same responsibility, same titles and skills, same amount of salary in term of numbers but different in currency.

Thus resulting differences on what they can afford.

For all the masuk hospital komen,

Ahmad & Tim work for a large corp. Thus Tim's employers pickedup 71% of the premium bil for his insurance while subsc a group insurance for Ahmad.

Tim's chips in average $363/m for his cntribtion,while Ahmad paid RM365/m for extra covrage thou

For all the productivity comment:

Low productivity can't solely be blamed on the employees, as low labor productivity also lays on- bad policy makers, poor management practices, lack of delegation on decision making from owner, lack of finance for employee growth.

And bear in mind although we are low on the productivity in term of values, we are among the highest on the growth for the past year, exceeding most of the countries including the US itself.

Imagine if we can overcome all the factor above as mentioned. 💪💪

For all the cost of living comment:

The intention of the post was to highlight on the Purchasing Power Parity.

That's why I did not put healthcare, education,basic item etc.

It's an economic theory of measuring a particular price of goods at a different location.

You can check out iPhone or Bigmac Index and observe where are we as a country.

In short, you need to work for a month to buy an iPhone, where in the US you just need to work for 5 days.

And FYI, a country with a high cost of living might also be a country with higher disposable income and purchasing power, take for example CH.

So we are talking about to different concept here. 👌
