Defending Snoop Dogg and other men engaging in misogynoir against Gayle King for being a journalist who discussed rape in an interview further proves the point that we live in a culture where Black women aren't allowed to have a voice or an opinion about anything.
Y'all fave is conflating Kobe, Michael Jackson and yes, Bill Cosby in the same statement.

The hoteps don't see nuance and clearly is using this to defend any Black celeb who has been accused of sexual abuse.

THREAD: LET ME TELL Y'ALL SOMETHING.

So some of y'all have reached out to me given the high volume of buzz I've gotten on Twitter yesterday defending Gayle King and criticizing Snoop Dogg for his misogynistic attacks launched at her.
As a journalist, as a Black man, as an advocate for fairness -- no Black woman should be threatened for doing her job, whether you agree with it or not. Grieving a death doesn't make one a sexist, violent, pig towards women if they weren't one already.
Right now, this death is showing who y'all really are. They are using this moment to defend others who have done far worse. And they are turning this conversation into a defense of any and all Black men, when there is a clear distinction.

Let me be very clear: Not on my watch.

For all the Black men #onhere that find themselves badgering Black women like Oprah for allegedly not targeting white men enough for sexual abuse via #MeToo...have you ever asked yourselves why aren't you doing the same for your own group?
Like it is so damn easy to keep trying to tell Black women what to do when it comes to an issue that is impacting them by both Black and white men...but for some reason, there are men in our community who are trying so hard to act like sexual abuse is a racial dispute. It's not.
Rather than waste your energy on cherry-picking Black women who you feel should be only talking about white men who sexually abuse...why aren't you slapping yourself upside the head on how dumb you sound that you have chosen to make this issue a false sense of racial justice.

She recently died to suicide.

Trans people are not a joke.

There are a lot of non-LGBTQ folks weighing in on this post with basic, myopic, short-sighted, and tone deaf remarks.

Here's a fun fact: Just because Daphne and Dave were friends, doesn't mean he isn't transphobic.

Stop with the "I got a transgender friend" bullshit.
Even further, nobody is directly blaming Dave Chappelle for Daphne's suicide but making people realize that trans suicides often stem from being marginalized in the world. Just because Dave was cool with Daphne does that mean his friends and world at large were?

A note to Mrs. Vanessa Laine Bryant. You just might have a major defamation lawsuit against Gayle King & CBS. How so? By Ms. King referring to Kobe Bryant's accuser as "the victim" and not "the alleged victim," she essentially & posthumously called Kobe Bryant a rapist.

Here's the problem: even in death Bryant is still presumed innocent until proven guilty & he was never adjudicated guilty in a court of law. To call Bryant's accuser "victim" is to presume Bryant's guilt as a convicted rapist. In law we call this posthumous defamation.

If you think I'm off kilter, I would remind you that this was also the ruling of Colorado Judge Terry Ruckriegle in Bryant's rape trial when he consistently sustained the objections of Bryant's lawyers over prosecutors referring to the accuser as "victim."
