1) IN DEFENCE OF BABA CUGS? @BabaCugs has taken a LOT of heat over the past week, since his prediction of a $2k XRP didn't happen. But is it all deserved? I've been asked my opinion lots in DMs and want to post my 2 cents here. THREAD: 
@BabaCugs 2) Although he does a lot of dot-connecting, it's important to remember that in most cases @BabaCugs is but a messenger. The sources for his predictions are alleged insiders - mainly @Ross_Vandermeer AKA @MarvinGaye0526, @YoYo76242706, and @321yugelbaraeb AKA @bearableguy123
3) @Ross_Vandermeer is the source of the famous $2000 XRP claim (predicted for January 1st by the way, not January 31st). Ross was wrong in his prediction, and recently moved the goalposts himself - from Jan 1, 2020 to "2020"
4) And @Ross_Vandermeer also just apparently GTFO'd from the scene, just like his alter ego Marvin did in mid-2019.
5) YoYo, who appears to have links of some sort to R3, sent @BabaCugs limerick riddles and images prior to the WEF in Davos. His claim of "your jump occurring in the middle of the moon phase of open to close" pointed heavily to moon time in late January.
6) But @YoYo76242706 has had a poor track record of predictions, and this turned out to be the case here as well.
7) And now it appears that @YoYo76242706 has also GTFO'd on the heels of this unmaterialized prediction, in a Truman Show-styled signoff:
8) And as far as @321yugelbaraeb, one can speculate about 1-year deltas & draw connections to a football-tossing Cheshire cat and open eyes and closed eyes and get excited about cartoon bricks, but it can be argued that little of concrete substance has come from him for a while.
9) So I can't fault @BabaCugs too much for failed predictions, when they're based on alleged insiders who've been quite far off the mark.
10) I have to say though that I'm pretty intrigued by hints he drops like the one below.
11) We've known since early 2018 that funds like Blackrock are entering the Digital Asset space, so it's perfectly conceivable that one of the big investment houses visited AMLD Investments to pitch their upcoming DA products for resale.
12) As well as the meeting with the "Big 4" accounting firms in Canada his father apparently had.
13) But to those demanding "proof" of his inside knowledge on these presentations, WTF are you smoking? He & his dad could never give details (insider trading & NDA). As much as he wants to be proven right to a bunch of strangers on CT, it's not worth jail or losing a licence.
14) And that leads me to what I believe is the one valid criticism of @BabaCugs. Dot-connecting is fine & believing in riddles and insiders is one's prerogative, but what seems to drive him now is a crusade to prove to naysayers that he's right.
15) THIS is what's causing him to catch a lot of hate! There's no shame in saying "Hey I got some bad info/misinterpreted a riddler, but I still believe in big things for XRP". I think most would be cool with that. But instead he doubles down and redefines.
16) I've enjoyed a lot of your work Manny, but you'll have a much less chaotic ride on CT if you make it about XRP & not your detractors. It's not a fight you'll win, as your critics are all carrying big bags; if your predictions come to pass they win too.
