Custom Audiences should be banned for all purposes. It’s truly appalling that Facebook hasn’t voluntarily offered a moratorium for 2020. The best they’ve offered is a buried opt-out that no one will find and use, a control that should have been there since 2013 when it launched.

If Trump and Barr succeed at their obvious objective of fully and completely demolishing the rule of law before November will the election even matter?
Let’s assume Trump loses the Electoral College. Now imagine what Trump and Barr will do between November 2020 and January 2021. Now imagine a coronavirus pandemic in the US anytime between now and inauguration 2021.
The media horserace is for selling ads. It has no bearing on our actual futures. It has no ability to confront what actually lies before us. Watch cable news if you have moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. Otherwise, it’s not being made for you.

#NEW I wrote about "electability" and the 2020 Democratic primary for the paper this week. We combined political science and polling data and found that a moderate Dem with strength among working-class whites has the best chance against Trump.

The 2020 election is likely to be close. Trump's approval rating & GDP growth suggest that he'll win about 49% of the two-party vote, per our modeling. He's clearly competitive, especially when Democrats need to win the popular vote by about ~2.5pts to win the electoral college.
So the "electability" of the candidates is a particular concern for Democrats.

So what do we know about who is more likely to win general elections?

Getting 33 CLPs is not be easy:
In 2015 (a 4 horse race between Corbyn, Burnham, Cooper and Liz Kendall), Kendall only got 18 CLPs.
In a two-horse race in 2016 Owen Smith only managed 53
(not all CLPs will nominate either)

Uncovering the Disqus data machine: @disqus shared the personal data of tens of millions of users without them or the websites knowing about it. thread - 1/13
During reporting for @NRKbeta I found that several well-known sites appear to send user data through @disqus . Some of them are: @wirecutter, @9to5mac, @ZDNet, @pcgamer. Political sites were also affected: @thehill, @BreitbartNews, @realDailyWire, and @gatewaypundit 2/13
The company says that 2 billion unique users hit their platform each month, but the number could likely be far lower. Disqus would not disclose the % that have their data shared. 3/13
