@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party Please try to understand there is separation of powers between the judicial branch of government and the executive branch of government. The courts, and the RCMP, operate independent of the PM and his cabinet.

It would be highly inappropriate for the PM to intervene.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party It would mean the law, interpreted by the court, and the enforcement (order), carried out by the RCMP, is null and void in Canada, if the PM intervenes.

Surely you aren’t recommending the withdrawal of law and order in Canada because the court decided against Wet’suwet’en?
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party Equating Wet’suwet’en’s predicament and the absence of calls for intervention from the PM from liberals and centrists as disinterest is disinformation and propaganda.

This is how democracy works. We don’t get to intervene in court decisions.

Personally, I’m very disappointed.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I’m disappointed that Wet’suwet’en was in a predicament where title to their traditional land was still in question. I’m disappointed the first raid, the excuse that the indigenous people could not produce proof of the title was allowed to go unchallenged in court.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party That claim was made by the RCMP. Documented by APTN news.

I’m disappointed the agreement was obtained by an insider who knew how to play peoples fears & weaknesses against the community. Only another indigenous person familiar with Wet’suwet’en culture could have done this.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party Whomever did this was payed to obtain approval at any cost. Three elders were approached. Not all elders. Anyone who knows anything about indigenous culture knows consensus is characteristic of indigenous decision making. This situation has divided the community.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party But that’s how big industry works. And our courts are based on British Common Law. Which accepts this form of coercion.

To change the law and how it is applied in Canada, especially to indigenous land claims is a goal of UNDRIP.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party UNDRIP bill died when parliament was prorogued in June 2019. The previous MOJAG (JWR) has previously stated UNDRIP was unworkable and did not sponsor the bill.

The bill was only controversial for CPC senators who refused to compromise on FPIC.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party Not unexpected, since it’s CPC supporters & donors who are owners of the natural gas pipeline being built. Also the former Trans Mountain that owned the pipeline and recently sold shares to AIMCO (AB public servants pension funds) to extort support for the success of the project.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party This is being pushed ahead at a quick pace so the corporate interests can obtain their goal. Huge profits.

I’m disappointed that no one noticed Harper redirected RCMP to protect industry interests rather than protect the peace. That was prior to 2015.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party Strangely enough, a report detailing an investigation that revealed that change in policy was directed by Harper and incorporated into RCMP internal policy in 2014-2015 came out the day before the first Wet’suwet’en raid. Barely anyone noticed.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I’m disappointed that the former MOJAG was asked to take on the Indigenous Services portfolio on the very day of the first raid, but turned it down. Stating she wanted to stay MOJAG, forcing PMJT to transfer her to Veterans Affairs because of her insubordination.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I’m disappointed she then spun some crazy tale about interference in SNC decision. Which detracted from the Wet’suwet’en predicament and severely restricted PM from calling an inquiry into the situation. A policy review that would have revealed the RCMP’s altered priorities.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I was extremely disappointed that half of Canada got caught up in a manufactured scandal to allow JWR to save face & damage the first PM ever to make indigenous reconciliation a priority. Wasting months of precious time that should have been used to investigate Wet’suwet’en.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I’m disappointed that I spent days and weeks of my time researching the events because I had watched them in real time and saw quite clearly what happened. Only to have NDP Charlie Angus and GPC Elizabeth May give JWR cover and excuse her incompetence to win a few voters.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I expected that from CPC. That’s how they operate. But I was disheartened watching NDP and GPC accept JWR’s version publicly without doing due diligence investigation first.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I was extremely disappointed, actually disgusted, that the issues at Wet’suwet’en only seem to come up when NDP need indigenous support.

A clear indication that indigenous land claims are politicized by a party that proclaims support, but only seems to mention it as a smear.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I’m angry to this day that CPC & NDP would politicize the issue by calling for intervention from the govt knowing that would contravene separation of powers. But their support base doesn’t know this or doesn’t care about this detail of how our Canadian democracy works.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I’m enraged that a subsection of First Nations seem to be using Wet’suwet’en for exactly the same purpose, to smear the LPC because they won’t intervene in a court decision and RCMP carrying out the injunction.

Because this subsection of FN doesn’t want reconciliation.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party That subsection of FN want to secede from Canada, using UNDRIP to strip every citizens property titles to be transferred back to FN only, not any other indigenous group like Metis or non-status Indians. Then they may or may not kick everyone out of Canada or charge annual rent.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party I feel betrayed by the NDP who are aware of this plan and continue to make false claim after false claim about the actions towards indigenous people across Canada. To remove the only PM who has worked toward reconciliation so diligently.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party And I feel disappointed in Canadians who are not indigenous, know little about indigenous issues, but get on the band wagon to call out a government and a liberal/centrist population by amplifying BS about issues they have little concern for, but damn it feels good to own a Lib.
@Pennyvane10 @aseip1 @fraser_brad @liberal_party Is that enough disappointment from a liberal or need I carry on?
