Up early, well ... some work to be done. Need some wake me up music. Listening to Ava Max ... wow, just wow ... this really should be titled "It's ok to be different as long as you conform" -
... I know, I know ... music has been highly conformist for the last forty years, even the "rebellious" elements are choreographed, scripted and put through focus groups. It just seems the music industry has given up pretending and now is just becoming a parody of itself.
Time for some rousing, building, thumping, rebel music ... by that bad boy, the rock and roll legend of Jean Sibelius - Violin Concerto in D minor, Opus 47.

Having worked extensively in cloud (2006-2011) and kept an eye on the field since, I find this claim vexatious because poor old Oracle has been the butt of cloud jokes for almost a decade. I would question how much of this is related to shoddy investment research.
i.e. If Oracle claimed that it could not have misled as everyone in cloud has known "Oracle was nowhere in cloud for the last decade" and its efforts were just marketing ... I personally think you'd struggle to find anyone of any repute in the cloud industry to disagree.

Me : That's a bit left field. I normally talk mapping. Why do you think an alien race would be interested in contacting us.

Me : Yes, but that's because they're exciting. We wouldn't be.

Me : If you're an alien race talking with billions of other alien races then I could imagine in the great vastness of space that Earth would be very dull indeed. The only people who would be excited to talk to us would be other races looking for races to talk to.
X : So basically you're saying they would ignore us?
Me : Do you live in the UK?
X : Yes.
Me : Do you get really excited by every new person born and go out of your way to talk to them?
X : No
Me : Well, there's your answer. Probably.

X : What does the LEF do?
Me : It's a department within DxC. It does lots of things from research to study tours to advisory to events (i.e. MapCamp London) to training courses e.g. Digital Business Leaders - leadingedgeforum.com/events/digital…
X : It's part of DxC?
Me : Yes. But it acts as an independent research group ... no interference etc. It's a mechanism of providing challenge both internally and externally.
It's one of the things I admire about DxC, it seems quite rare these days to have a truly independent and vocal research group within a corporation. A willingness to accept challenge is a positive in my book.

The same general comments I make about LAPP also apply to PSPP and SFPP though some of the details are different.

I can't provide the complete history of the plan... other than to say that Bill 22 substantially changes governance for the LAPP Corporation.
This seems to have resulted in the GOA re-assuming all the risk for the plan. Some history: before the LAPP was a plan where the Minister of Finance was the sole trustee and custodian of the plan (a "fiduciary"). This was not ideal in terms of structure. #really

In the sixth form my art teacher got me a Saturday job at a picture framer's. My main role was making excuses when customers phoned.

A trip to buy supplies with the owner turned dodgy but luckily I had the presence of mind to get away.

In my university vacations I worked back to back shifts in a bakery and local cinema to save up money.

On my first shift in the cinema the senior usherette threw hot tea over me. I was promoted to cashier and removed to the box office, out of harm's way #ActuallyAutistic 3/

Walking away from @united premier counter shaking off microagressions. One white man had two agents working with him while I stood there waiting for someone to simply put my bag tag on my luggage. Asked for help. No one even looked up. Pretended I wasn’t there. #wow
Update: @United responded quickly. I explained that micro-aggressions break the trust of mileage customers who choose airlines and place trust in them to care for our bodies and our emotions while in their care. They got it. 1/
Thanks to the @united social media responder for understanding the seriousness of micro-aggressions. And thank you for your good Will gesture of credit or miles. I accepted the miles. Plus, I was just upgraded on both flights. Thank you for replacing bad memories with good ones.
