Power to our overhead lines has been turned off due to water from the aqueduct in the Bishopton area rushing onto them from above. The video attached captures the severity of the situation. We will update you further on the flow of water from the aqueduct as soon as we can.
Here's the current situation at #Bishopton. For fairly obvious reasons, we can't return power to the 25,000 volt overhead power lines until the flow of water stops. #StormDennis
#StormDennis We've got staff at #Bishopton clearing out the aquaduct over the line to get water flowing through it normally - and not down on to the line.
#StormDennis Our team have cleared the aquaduct, stopping the flow of water on to the line. We've now re-energised the overhead lines and reopened the line to trains.
