No they are not fighting. This is one of the most amazing thing in nature. Parent flamingos produce crop milk in their digestive tracts & regurgitate it to feed young ones. See how together they are doing it. Source: Science Channel.
This crop milk is made up of protein & fat rich cells of the lining of crop, which is part of alimentary canal where food is stored before digestion. Which effectively means they are feeding their stomach before kids can start eating solid food.

Nobody needs #elephant tusk more than an elephant.

But some don't agree. Botswana has decided to remove ban on hunting. In first auction license for hunting 70 elephants has been approved. Where best will be hunted & tusks will be taken as a trophy. For Conservation !!
Concept of trophy hunting is that money will be pumped back for conservation. Since many governments cant afford. People miss;

- hunters always chose best progeny. Since they are paying for it. With time population lose best genetic material. 2/n
- elephants have complex social structures. They learn from old members for many years, especially female members.

Hunters hunt big & old only. It breaks the families. With this breks the social setup also. 3/n

A view of world’s longest and India’s first dedicated underpass for #wildlife on NH7/44. It is passing through Kanha Pench Corridor. Between March & Dec ‘19 researchers recorded 5381 captures of 18 wild animal species using it, 89 tiger crossings of 11 individuals. @bhlab_india
This info-graphic has the details. Even if it is serving some purpose, it should not be an excuse to openly start building linear infrastructure in wildlife habitats. Maybe in coming days more info will come.

Whoaaa !! A joint family of 70 elephants. So huge that I could not catch family in a single frame. That is kind of social structure they have. The secret #Life of #elephants.
From traveling together, which they do a lot, to eating together they are serious family goals. New born looked after by everybody in the herd. They can recognise their relatives also.
They accumulate a lot of wisdom due to their long life span & pass on to next generation. These all are my pictures, of same herd of 70 elephants which I tracked few months back. As I said it was so huge.

Milk is consumed by mammals & humans, for its nutritive value of protein that it offers in early growth stage, when milk is consumed max. Modern research has identified 2 types of milk proteins, classified as A1 Beta Casein & A2 Beta Casein.
Beneficial A2 Beta Casein

A2 Beta Casein is the kind of milk protein found in human milk, goat milk, sheep milk and in the milk of the Indian cows, the Bos Indicus. This variety of milk has been found to be of higher beneficial value to humans, next only to mother’s milk.
